Soreness

Am still awfully sore from Tuesday’s workout at Crossfit Hub.

Warm Up

  • Run 400m
  • 10 wall walks
  • 150 air squats (YES, 150!)

WOD

  • 30 Hang Cleans (20kg)
  • 30 Front Squats (20kg)
  • 30 Push Press (20kg)
This bout of DOMS really hurts. I’ve only been using the empty bar until Tuesday, so it’s actually the heaviest I’ve lifted EVER. And as proud and accomplished as I feel, I am suffering from soreness I can hardly even describe. Fortunately, I thrive on pain like this. Haha!
Today was a well-deserved break. Went grocery shopping at Cold Storage. Chicken and fish fillets for dinner.
2 huge chunks of chicken steak. We thought we’d save on the time marinating the chicken this time and so we bought this pre-marinated pieces.  But they were pretty thick slices and took forever to cook!
Fortunately, we bought the fish too. The chicken looked like it was going to be filling but since I removed most of the skin (yucky), it was actually a pretty ok serving. The fish was so nourishing. Just pepper, pan-fried, and topped with salsa.
I like just lazing around sometimes. I don’t need to go to fancy places, go out shopping, eat expensive food… I just need simple things. It’s the simple things that make me smile (:
